Question: Is Dungeon World complex? (I don't like games that are overly complex!)
Answer: No! Dungeon World is an incredibly, ridiculously simple game. The most important thing you need to know about Dungeon World is: "Roll 2d6" and add your stat bonus (-1, 0, +1, +2 or +3) * if you get 6 or lower? Something bad happens - but you 'Mark XP' (gain 1 point of XP) * If you get 7 - 9? Something good happens with a cost. (You stab the goblin, but also get hit, or you grab the jewel, but slip and fall with it, etc) * If you get 10 or higher? You aced it.
Pretty much all moves in the game are that easy. And almost all stats can be valuable to all classes. It is not a game that rewards min-maxing.
Question: How do you tell who's turn it is?
Answer: There are no turns. It goes: "DM - Player - DM - Player" ... if you want to take a move? Blurt it out and take one unless the DM prompts a specific player for action.
Example: "Dethaniel; you turn around just in time to see a cowled figure lifting a knife ready to plunge it into Gwendolyne's back -- What do you do?!" - This is not the time for Gwendolyne to act; in this instance? Dethaniel was specifically prompted.
